Sharon Jayne Dunkelberger Nelson, 56, passed away February 8, 2026, at MercyOne in Des Moines.

Born to Richard and Marion Dunkelberger on March 11, 1969, in Boone, she graduated from Ogden High School in 1987 and later attended Des Moines Area Community College.

She married Frank Nelson in July 2002, building a loving life together. Sharon cherished her faith, family, cooking, and especially her 11 grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; children Tyrone (Keith) Hull, Tynisha Hull, and Tiffany (Justin Harlan) Hopes; siblings David (Misti) Dunkelberger and Susan Erickson (Randy Hoshaw); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
