Bruce Anderson

Bruce G. Anderson, 87, of Boone, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Pastor Stephen Ude will officiate. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Bruce Gary Anderson was born on May 30, 1938, in Harcourt, Iowa, the son of Orville and Zella (Schill) Anderson. He graduated with the Harcourt High School class of 1956, and furthered his education at Iowa State University. Bruce served in the United State Army Reserve for 7 years.
Bruce’s first marriage was blessed with four children: Dave, Dale, Debra, and Mitchell.
Bruce managed the Somers Coop from 1959 until 1966, and was later employed by Ag Partners in Albert City, retiring as C.E.O. in 2001, after 35 years of service. He moved to Boone in 2004.
On May 29, 2009, he was united in marriage to Deanna Hicks in Boone.
Bruce was an avid fisherman and a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Anderson of Boone, IA; three sons, Dave (Carol) Anderson of Milford, IA, Dale (Tracy) Anderson of Harcourt, IA, and Mitchell (Shannon) Anderson of Eagle, Idaho; one daughter, Debra (Dean) Brushaber of Grimes, IA; three step-children, Kerry (Pat) Carson of Ogden, IA, Rusty (Heidi) Hicks of Boone, IA, and Malory (Shawn) Smith of Ankeny, IA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
