Girls fall to Van Meter and ACGC
Abby Langel scored 17 points in a 41-36 loss to Van Meter Tuesday, Dec. 4. The Bulldogs were held to just 31% shooting in the loss.
“It was a good, competitive, back and forth game,” commented Bulldog Coach Ben Van Wyk. “Van Meter had been shooting the basketball at a very high clip coming into the game. I was pleased with how we defended the arc and limited their looks. Offensively we strung together a number of nice possessions in the 3rd quarter to get back into the game. Even in the 4th we got a number of good looks, just couldn’t knock them down. Overall, we did a number of good things we can continue to build on moving forward.” Ogden defense held Van Meter to just 35% shooting but it wasn’t enough.
Langel’s points came on 7 of 16 shooting from the floor. Gabby Ross had 8 points and 5 rebounds. Loecker led on the boards with 7 rebounds. Meredith Adreon added 5 assists.
