Tough few weeks for Bulldog football
The Bulldogs are in the gauntlet of their schedule in playing the top three teams back to back and two of the three on the road. On Friday Sept. 1 Ogden traveled to State Center to take on the West Marshall Trogans in non-district action. Cameron Bannister blistered the Bulldogs with 167 passing yards and threw for 4 touchdowns and also ran for 124 yards and scored a rushing touchdown.
The Bulldogs fell behind early and never recovered in a 46-13 loss. Ogden was led by Christensen who threw for 151 yards and rushed for 45 more, scoring two touchdowns. Ogden’s defense was led by Jacob Kathman with 10 tackles. Charlie Lake snared an interception.
Ogden vs. Van Meter
Ogden returned home on Friday Sept. 8 and faced the Bulldogs from Van Meter. Van Meter racked up 42 first half points and went on to win 56-6. VM quarterback Carson Rhoads had 127 yards and two touchdowns. Fryar threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns.
