Ogden native Cam Reimers won the professional off-road World Championship Sunday, Sept. 6 The young Iowan captured the title in the mecca of off-road racing, Crandon, WI, referred to as “The Big House”, comparable to the Indy 500 of off-road racing. Cam Reimers Motorsports is the only professional off-road team based out of Iowa, respectively having the team owner/driver power house being a native of small town of Ogden, and currently residing in Ames. His story is highlighted in the following press release.
Ogden, IA. (September 8, 2015) - Can you imagine the feeling of your first career win? Can you imagine if that win came on the biggest stage of off-road racing? Well those dreams became a reality for Cam Reimers this past weekend as he picked up his first career victory at the World Championships Season Finale in Crandon, Wisconsin.
Reimers secured a solid top five finish the day prior but everyone in the pits could see that it wasn’t enough. This small town Iowan had plans to “go out with a bang”, as he said, and he certainly did in front of a record breaking number of fans at Crandon International Raceway on Sunday.
