Services set for Ralph D. Haub

Ralph Dwaine Haub, 87, of rural Boone IA, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Winterset Care Center North, where he had been a resident since 2009. Ralph was born in Manson IA on September 15, 1926, to Ezra and Eva (Featherstone) Haub. He married Joan (McCall) Haub of Boone on September 9, 1950. Two sons, David and John, were born to this union. Ralph was actively involved in many organizations over the years. He was a kind and giving man and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, of 58 years in 2009; his parents; his brothers Robert and Lyle; infant sister Vivian; and brothers and sisters-in-laws. He is survived by sons, David (Kathy) of Boone and John (Debbie) of Osceola; grandsons Jeremiah (Angie), Matt (Anna) of Boone, Michael (Brandy) of West Des Moines and Daniel (Bobbi) of Osceola; eight grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; brothers Daryl (Donna) and John (Cyndi) of Dayton and sister Audrey Iles of Ankeny; sister-in-law Genevieve Van Horn, rural Boone; many nieces and nephews and many friends. As per his request, he is being cremated and will be laid to rest next to his wife at Rose Hill Cemetery. Graveside services for Ralph Haub will be Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery.
