Tyrone (Ty) Beckman, 74, of Ogden, IA, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at the Ogden Manor.

Tyrone Bradley Beckman was born Oct. 23, 1939, in Ogden, the son of Philip and Laura (Fisher) Beckman. He graduated with the Ogden High School class of 1957.

Ty worked as a farmhand and as a salesman for Gillespie Auto in Boone, Ron Willey in Ames, and at Richey Motors in Stratford. He later worked as a groundskeeper at Don Williams Lake for seven years. He was a member of the Boone Elks Club and Swede Valley Lutheran Church in Ogden.

Survivors include his son, Troy Beckman of Atkins, AR; two step sons, Doug (Ellie) Beckman and Dennis Beckman; one sister, Carole Boon of Carmichael, CA; one nephew, Joel (Sarah) Carstens and their children, Corey and Daphne all of Carmichael, CA; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of family.
