Softball team has just one conference loss

The Bulldogs used the power trio of Ashton Boggess, Ellee Laws and Denali Loecker in sweeping Woodward-Granger 10-4 and 7-0 Monday, June 19. The Hawks jumped on the Bulldogs early as Kayce Majors’s run-scoring double highlighted a three-run first inning. The Bulldogs responded as Kami Wheelock led the inning off with a single and stole second base. Meredith Adreon followed with a double to center to score Wheelock. Boggess singled to right and scored Adreon, cutting the Hawk lead to 3-2. Laws was issued a free pass and Loecker launched a three-run homer to center field to give the Dogs a 5-3 lead. 

Kennedy Kruse singled in the third and scored on a base hit by Maddy Loecker. Ogden added two more tallies in the fourth on a two-run homer by Laws and a two-run double by Boggess, finished the scoring. The Bulldogs were led by Denali and Maddy Loecker with three hits apiece and Boggess who contributed two hits. 

In the nightcap D. Loecker led the Bulldogs with 7 scoreless innings pitching and contributed three hits including a homerun. Boggess and M. Loecker added two hits each. Laws and Adreon added doubles.
