Softball girls start the week with five-game win streak

Ogden girl’s softball celebrated a five-game win streak after facing off with Madrid on Monday, June 10.

After their win against Des Moines Christian earlier in the week, the lady bulldogs took on Council Bluffs Lincoln during their first game of the Phil Creese Softball Complex in Perry on Friday, June 7. The girl’s won the game 11-5, with Meredith Aldreon pitching and scoring three runs for the ‘dogs. Also contributing to the success of the day was Denali Loecker with three runs, Amber Branliff and Gabby Ross with two each, and Lauren Kennedy with one to finish out the first game of the day.

The girl’s played again later in the afternoon, this time against Lewis Central, winning the matchup 10-2. Delani Loecker pitched for the second game, helping the girl’s to their second win of the day, and fourth win in a row.
