Showcasing their talents

The anticipation, the nerves, the bravery. Although it’s been seven years since I was in these shoes, it still seems like yesterday I was feeling the anticipation and nerves while just wishing the day would be over. If that’s how these three ladies were feeling this past weekend, I couldn’t tell. 

For years Ogden Middle School has hosted this annual Solo and Ensemble Contest event. This year they welcomed East Marshall and Madrid’s band and vocalists. I heard a lot of familiar music and saw many great ratings throughout my morning down memory lane. 

This day is a perfect opportunity for students to step out of their comfort zones, enjoy music and support their friends. Ogden, especially, is very fortunate to have such an outstanding band and vocal program.
