Ogden schools will no longer share superintendent

Ogden Community School District will be seeking out a full-time superintendent for the 2018-2019 school year.

The school board reviewed the current superintendent sharing agreement during a special meeting Wednesday, Jan. 24. After some discussion, the board, on a 5-0 vote, decided to decline the continued sharing agreement with Lu Verne Community School and discontinue the partnership.

Ogden currently purchases 60% of the contract for Supt. Jon Hueser who took over as superintendent at the start of the 2017-18 school year, replacing Dr. Tim Hoffman who served as interim superintendent the two years prior.

The Board had reached a consensus that the demands of that position at Ogden requires more than a 0.6  FTE (full time equivalent.)

The Board then approved a full-time superintendent position for next year.
