Ogden rolls past Woodward Academy to start the season

The Ogden High School football team started things off right with an season-opening 33-14 win last Friday over Woodward Academy following a strong first quarter.

Ogden started off hot, finishing the first quarter up 16-0. They never lost that lead, although things got close with the neighboring Knights getting within four in the third quarter. After that, Ogden put on the gas and pulled away, never looking back. That allowed Ogden to come away with a 33-14 win.

Ogden mainly used an explosive rushing attack to rack up the yards against Woodward Academy’s defense. Ogden had 288 yards on 31 carries, averaging over 9 yards per carry. Any time a team can almost pick up a first down on every rush, they will most likely have a great chance of winning.
