Ogden Police Report - July 21-27, 2014

 

Monday, July 21

9:50 a.m.: Kay Hammer of Boone reported that she had $208 in cash taken from her purse while at work at the Ogden Manor on Saturday, July 19, 2014.

9:57 a.m.: Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Ogden High School.  This was set-off accidentally by an employee.

11:30 a.m.: Officer provided a funeral escort from Community Methodist Church to Glenwood Cemetery.

Tuesday, July 22

6:55 a.m.: Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

7:47 a.m.: Boone County Communications Center requested Ogden Officer to look for a tractor-trailer loaded with hogs that was eastbound on 220th from Jefferson and all over the road. The Ogden officer stopped the vehicle in the 300 block of 220th St. The driver advised he had foreign material in his eyes from loading the hogs and was having difficulty seeing with the bright sun. Officer assisted subject in washing eyes with water.

4:30 p.m.: Officer was asked to do a welfare check on an Ogden resident. The subject was fine.

5:10 p.m.: Officer received a report of a subject making threats.  Officer is attempting to make contact with offending party.

5:59 p.m.: Officer spoke with offending party in the earlier threat complaint, and advised if this continues charges will be filed.

Wednesday, July 23

8:10 a.m.: A subject turned a wallet over to Ogden Police that was found near Spring Lake. The officer was able to contact the owner and advised he could retrieve the wallet at Ogden Police Department.

3:34 p.m.: Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a reported vehicle in the ditch at J Ave. and 216th.  The vehicle was gone upon officer’s arrival.

Thursday, July 24

9:35 a.m.: Officer responded to the Ogden Middle school for an animal complaint.

10:30 a.m.: Officer investigated a theft in the 400 block of NW 7th St.

10:46 a.m.: Officer handled an injured animal complaint at Howe School.

1:14 p.m.: Officer assisted a subject with a property issue.

4:25 p.m.: Officer discovered a road hazard in the 300 block of NW 7th St.

Friday, July 25

11:05 a.m.: Officer did a welfare check on a subject at 619 Haws Dr #4. Subject was okay.

3:42 p.m.: Officer assisted a Boone County deputy with a complaint of a no contact order violation.

Saturday, July 26

9:48 a.m.: Officer assisted a subject with a road hazard in the 300 block of NW 4th St.

9:51 a.m.: Officer checked on two transients in the city park.

4:24 p.m.: Officer assisted a subject locked out of their car at 614 W. Maple St.

8:42 a.m.: Officer assisted a Don Williams Park Ranger with an intoxicated driver at P70 and E18. Officer arrested Mitchel Tourte for alleged OWI 1st Offense.

Sunday, July 27

12:00 a.m.: Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 308 SW 5th St.

12:30 a.m.: Officer spoke to a subject about a civil matter.

12:35 a.m.: Officer recovered abandoned property in the 100 block of E. Locust.

1:30 a.m.: Officer spoke to two juveniles reference curfew in the 100 block of SW 3rd St.

2:37 a.m.: Officer received a complaint of air being let out of a tire at 432 E Walnut St.

8:39 a.m.: A Casey’s employee reported to Ogden Officer that two vehicles had left without paying for gas. The officer was able to speak with both subjects and have them return and pay for gas.

10:46 a.m.: Officer arrested James Jameson, 18, of Ogden on an Ogden warrant for possession of stolen property and burglary 3rd degree.

2:32 p.m.: Ogden resident wanted to speak to an officer about a court order.  The officer advised her to speak with her attorney.

6:00 p.m.: Amy Wehrli of 320 SW 5th reported that some unknown person(s) took $200-$300 in cash from her residence.
