Ogden golf teams in action

  Ogden golfers faced Des Moines Christian and Woodward-Granger in a conference triangular Monday, April 18 at the Woodward Golf Course. Jade Thompson led the Bulldogs by carding 40 for sixth place.

DMC’s Tommy Shisler had a low score of 36 for medalist, followed by teammate Keaton Van Soelen at 37 strokes for the winning team.

Bulldog Jacob Hildreth carded 51; Jacob Kathman, 52; Seth Bishop, 55; Carson Hayes, 62; and Kayden Kruse, 67.

Ogden finished with a score of 198; Woodward-Granger, 184; and Des Moines Christian, 149.

Hannah Carter led the girls to a win over their conference foes. Carter shot 46 for medalist honors. Kylie Nichols placed fourth after shooting 54. Christina Vinchattle carded 55, Hallie Weber 57; Maranda Wheelock and Abby Kieffer, 58. 

The Bulldogs finished at 212, followed by Woodward-Granger, 231 and Des Moines Christian, 248.

Taking runner-up was  WG Hawk Cierra DeHoet at 52 strokes.

Ogden girls finished seven strokes behind Greene County Friday, April 22 in the Southeast Valley Invite and placed second among the six teams competing.

Bulldog Hannah Carter carded 47 and was runner-up at Dayton. Green County Rachael Danielson was medalist at 45 strokes. Kylie Nichols finished at 55 strokes for sixth place and Christina Vinchattle 63 strokes for 11th. Maranda Wheelock carded 66 on the day; Abby Kieffer, 73; and Hallie Weber, 82.
