Ogden could possibly send two cross country teams to the state meet

The boys and girls’ cross country teams for Ogden High School plan to build upon last year’s success and make the next step for each respective team.

For the boys, that is getting back to state and improve upon their positioning at the state competition where they ended up 13th. They do return quite a few runners.

The Bulldogs have a good chance of making it back to state with the 1A State meet champion Andrew Stumbo returning with his outstanding personal record time of 15:48. Having such a quality runner is a great thing to have on top of an already solid team.

Head Coach Ryan Kobliska is very optimistic with both the men and women’s cross country teams, but he wants to make sure that they are continuing to elevate the status of the cross country program.

More about the 2016 cross country team can be found in the Aug. 24 issue of The Ogden Reporter.
