Ogden Bulldogs Booth and Gregory qualify for state track in DM

Hannah Booth’s second place finish in the 1500 meter run at Districts qualified her for the state track meet. Booth ran a time of 5:29.40 at Manson during last Thursday’s state-qualifying meet.

“This is a perfect way to top off her high school running career,” Coach Dena Boyd said of the track and cross country standout.

Booth will be running at Drake Stadium Saturday, May 19 at 2:45 p.m.

The Bulldogs placed fourth in four events: Gabby Diggs recorded 15’ 4” in the long jump; Bolton with a season best time of 13.56 in the open 100; and Booth in the 3000 run with a time of 12:04.

The shuttle hurdle relay cut another second off their season’s best time and ran 1:14.72, finishing fifth.

Boyd noted that the 4x4 made great strides this year and cut another five seconds off their best time, running 4:40.29.

When final District results were posted Friday afternoon, Gregory found his name among the list of qualifiers. He will  run Thursday night at 7:20 p.m. The OHS senior also placed fifth in the 800 meter run.

Garrett Buxton had a good run and placed fourth in the 3200 meter event. Finishing in seventh were Cole Gunderson in the 100 meter dash; Buxton in the 1600; Stephen Flynn in the 3200. Ben Heeren took eighth in the 110 hurdles.
