Morningside College falls in semi-finals

A former OHS football, track and wrestling standout has taken his talent to a new level and, along with his college teammates in Sioux City, were making a run for a national title.

Austin Lentz, 2016 OHS graduate and son of Nick and Janae Lentz of Ogden, is a member of the No. 3* Morningside College football team that faced No. 1 ranked University of St. Francis (Ind.)  in the NAIA semi-finals Saturday, Dec. 2 at Fort Wayne, IN. Both teams went into the game undefeated on the season.

The sophomore linebacker  plays defense and on special teams.

Morningside, who  was eliminated in the quarterfinals last year by eventual champion St. Francis, hoped for a different turnout this time around. This post season, the Mustangs easily eliminated their first two opponents in the series, defeating Sterling 63-7 and Saint Xavier 52-7.
