Making it official

Angela Sonksen was sworn in as Ogden postmaster during an installation ceremony Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at the Ogden Poster Office. She replaces Postmaster Joan Eslick who retired July 28 of this year.

Sonksen started out her career as a PTF clerk in Stratford, then transferred to Boone where she spent 14 years as a city carrier. During her time in Boone Sonksen was a 204B, a supervisor in training. In August of 2014 she was promoted to supervisor. She had the opportunity to OIC (Officer in Charge) at Stratford, Gowrie and Nevada post offices. She and her family live on an acreage between Boone and Stratford.

Sonksen took over duties in Ogden Sept. 8.
