Lana Jo (Carpenter) Carroll

Lana Carroll passed away Tuesday, June 24 2014, surrounded by family and friends in Henderson, NV following a short battle with cancer. Lana was 63 years old. Lana was born in Boone on Sept 13, 1950 to Francis (Butch) and Gwen (Jensen) Carpenter. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1968. She moved to Bellevue, NE in 1970 where she worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years. She received her BA in political science from Bellevue University in 1992. Lana moved to Nevada in 2004 where she lived until her passing.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents, one son David, a sister Debbie Duff, and one brother, Tom Carpenter. She is survived by her long time companion Billy O’Neal of Henderson, NV; her son Dennis Carroll of Ottumwa, IA; Sister Kim and Joe Morin of Woodland Park, CO; and brother-in-law Gerald Duff of Ogden. Several neices nephews aunts cousins and numerous close friends.

Memorials may be directed to family at 1025 E Division St. Apt 54 Ottumwa, IA 52501. There will be a gathering of friends to remember Lana at the Adobe Lounge in Boone Saturday, July 12 at 6 pm.
