Lady Dogs go 1-1 in Roland-Story tournament

In the Roland tournament  Friday, June 22, the Bulldog softball team defeated Saydel 5-3 and lost to Roland story 4-3. In the first game Denalli Loecker led the Bulldogs to a win over Saydel. 

Saydel led the scoring off when a free pass allowed Boley to reach base. Ogden miscues allowed her to score for a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs responded when Mohr led the inning off with a base hit. Fielding errors by Saydel allowed Mohr to score, making it a 1-1 game. Lauren Kennedy reached base on a bunt. A fielding error allowed Kennedy to reach third and a sacrifice fly to center by Adreon allowed Kennedy to score for a 2-1 Bulldog lead. The inning continued when Hannah Dutcher singled to center and Loecker homered to left center putting Ogden up 4-1.

The Bulldogs added to their lead in the third when Gabby Ross doubled to center. Ross scored on a Saydel fielding error for a 5-1 lead. Bulldogs miscues allowed Saydell to score a couple runs in the fourth to make the score a 5-3 final. 

Ogden was led by Loecker with two hits including a home run. Mohr added two hits including a double. Boggess and Dutcher added two hits and Ross added a double.
