Join in our hometown celebration Saturday, Dec. 2

Our hometown Christmas celebration set for Saturday, Dec. 2 is building up to be another great time for children and adults alike with this year’s theme, “A Very Merry Grinchmas.”  

Ogden Legacy Promotion and Marketing Committee’s Christmas co-chairs Susan Kallem, Kevin Langel and Bonni Meis have pulled together a main street full of holiday activities beginning with a lighted parade.

Lighted Parade, Tree Lighting, Caroling

Light up your vehicle - or yourself - and help Ogden celebrate. The lighted holiday parade down main street takes place at 5 p.m. A registration form appears on page seven.

A tree lighting ceremony, followed by Christmas caroling takes place under the water tower following the parade.

Wagon rides

Beacon Re/Max Realty at 205 W Walnut is hosting horse-drawn wagon rides, courtesy of the Haglund and Good families. Riders are invited to come in out of the cold and enjoy warm refreshments as they wait.

Holiday Craft &              Vendor Show

McGraw Senior Center will open its doors for the Holiday Craft & Vendor show from 5 to 8 p.m. To register, or for more information, email ogdenvendorshow@gmail.com. The $20 registration fee will go to support Ogden Food Pantry.

Chili Cook-Off

Bring the heat! You are invited to try your luck in Ogden’s first ever Chili Cook-Off from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the lobby of Auto Electric and Tune-Up at 201 W Walnut Street. Space is limited, so sign up early by contacting Langel at kclangel92@gmail.com or skallemadvocare@gmail.com.

Santa Claus comes to town

Santa will be available at Water’s Edge Church to take Christmas requests from all the youngsters.

Dinner and music

Everyone is invited to Water’s Edge Church and enjoy a dinner (free will donation to the Ogden Food Pantry) accompanied by live music. On the menu is a roast beef dinner.
