An interesting find - items reminiscent of a by-gone era

Amazing what one can find when taking out walls in an old building. Robin Good and crew came across these prohibition moonshine bottles while remodeling the former Treloar Produce building on main street. She left them in their original state for the picture then emptied the contents and scrubbed them up. A warning on the brown bottle: Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-Use of this Bottle. Robin plans on keeping them on display in the Re/Max Beacon Realty office.

Shortly after snapping this picture I took a peek in Ogden’s newest business, “Twice the Story,” and to my amazement saw the exact brown bottle, only with the label mostly intact - Hiram Walker Royal Oak Straight Whiskey it read. They, too had found it when remodeling their building. Drinking must have been a popular past time back in the day.
