Immanuel Lutheran to present a special Christmas program

The Christmas Story is getting a new interpretation in Ogdon this holiday.

On Sunday, December 22, the Immanuel Lutheran Church will have a special Christmas program, ushering in the holiday with a short play written by Marcia Brunsvold.

"We haven't had a Christmas program for a number of years, so I decided to write a program," said Brunsvold.

In a burst of Christmas motivation, Brunsvold crafted "Go See and Tell," a four-person play about the role of the shepherds in the nativity story. Brunsvold wanted to explore their role in the story by looking at it from their perspective and what they may have done after.

"The writing of it went very quickly," said Brunsvold, who wrote the play in about four weeks. "I was really astounded once I was given the idea."
