Hueser takes over as superintendent

Ogden school district’s recent passage of the bond referendum, according to newly hired Superintendent Jon Hueser, reinforces the commitment the community has to its school.

Hueser (pronounced seizure, only with an “h” he tells everyone) came on board July 1, 2017 but began attending board meetings in January so he could stay informed about the recent school facilities project.

Having administrative experience in other school districts, Hueser says he understands expenses involved with keeping buildings open.

Supt. Hueser will be splitting his time between LuVerne Community School and Ogden, commuting back and forth from his hometown of Jefferson. The two districts have a sharing agreement where 60% of his time will be spent in Ogden (predominately Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) and the remainder at LuVerne, located approximately 70 miles northeast of Ogden.
