Girls' season comes to an end

“The players played as hard as they could have against a great South Central Calhoun team,” commented Bulldog Coach Nate Tobey following Ogden’s second round loss to the 20-2 Titans who moved on with a 75-34 win. “They (SC Calhoun) used their size to their advantage throughout the game and got out to a big lead by forcing us to turn it over and getting their own rebounds.”

Ogden girls finished their season 9-14.

All season long South Central Calhoun had been decimating their opponents, winning by an average of 35 -plus points, so Ogden knew it would have its hands full last Tuesday. The Titans made a statement early, at Rockwell City, racing ahead 28-6 in the first quarter. Ogden settled into its game and nearly matched points with SC Calhoun, scoring 15 to their 16 points for a 44-21 halftime score
