Girls place fifth at Ogden Relays

The Bulldogs were host to seven other schools Thursday, April 12 for the Ogden Girls Relays.

The boys team was to compete at Adel Friday, but that meet was cancelled to do the weather.

Myra Bolton placed in all three of her individual events, finishing second in the 100 meter dash, third in the 200 meter dash and third in the high jump. The 4x800 relay, running the same girls as a week ago, cut 26 seconds off their relay time and picked up a third place medal. Keeping with the same squad for a second consecutive meet, the 4x100 relay knocked a second off their time, clocking 54.20 for third place.

“We finally got a decent night to run,” said Coach Dena Boyd. “I was really proud of the girls’ efforts, especially with so little recovery time between the many events they all ran in.”
