Gearing up for Oktoberfest

The Ogden Community is ramping up for its annual Oktoberfest event set for Sunday, Oct. 5. Fall festivities will take place from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the City Park. 

New this year is a demonstration from furniture maker Robby Pedersen, owner of RVP~1875 in Jefferson. Pedersen is a Master Furniture Maker with over 20 years experience, who has built over 800 pieces of historically accurate furniture using only the tools, techniques and finishes used in 1875 Iowa.

Other demonstrations include corn shelling, an apple cider press and broom making. Hay rides, fire truck rides and a CROP Walk are all part of the festivities.
