Five Boone County youth earn State Project Awards

Kylie Westberg, a 2015 OHS graduate, was one of 50 Iowa 4-H’ers awarded a state 4-H project award. The 4-H youth receiving the awards are recognized as the top winners in their project areas across the state. Westberg, 18, the daughter of Jeff and Annette Westberg of Woodward, was recognized for her involvement in the sheep area. 

A nine-year member of 4-H, Westberg has completed projects on sheep, clothing, home improvement, self-determined and child development. She has served as president, treasurer and librarian of her 4-H club. Westberg also has participated in her county 4-H council, county youth committee and the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
