Dogs collect three more wins; stand at 13-5 overall

It took eight innings but the Bulldogs upended West Central Valley Wildcats 4-3 Tuesday, June 12 at Ogden. An error by the Wildcats’s shortstop allowed 

Denali Loecker to score from second base for the 4-3 win. 

Ogden took an early lead when Adreon was hit by a pitch in the first. An error by the Wildcats’s pitcher on a ball hit by Hannah Dutcher, allowed Meredith Adreon to score for a 1-0 first inning run.

WCV responded when three straight singles produced a run to tie the game 1-1 in the third. The Wildcats took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth when a base hit produced a run.

The Bulldogs responded in their half of the fourth when a double by Ashton Boggess and a single by Karsyn Clark produced two runs for a 3-2 Bulldog lead. In WCV’s half, three hits produced a run to tie the game at 3-3. That set the stage in the home half of the eighth when Loecker led the inning off with a double. A ball hit by Boggess was misplayed by the Wildcat shortstop and allowed Loecker to score the winning run. 

Ogden was led by Loecker with two hits including a double and Boggess added a double.
