Confusion over impact if weekend weather in Boone County.

The sirens sounded around 3 a.m. Sunday, May 17. We followed our family procedures of heading to our safe place. We were somewhat confused by where the tornadoes were reported and what we were experiencing from the inside looking out. We also questioned whether a second warning, around 4 a.m. meant that there was another tornado or was it an all-clear.

As it turns out, there were no actual tornadoes in Boone County over the weekend. As David E. Morlan, coordinator of Boone Co. EMA, states in a statement to The Ogden Reporter, Monday, May 18, “As far as we can tell, Boone County did not have a tornado.
