CMB ends Ogden's baseball season

Ogden’s baseball season ended with a 3-2 loss to the CMB Raiders in district action last Saturday. The Bulldogs were held to just five hits while striking out 9 times in the loss. 

The Raiders broke the scoreless tie in the fourth on a run-scoring single by Dammon and a bases loaded free pass to Ross for a 2-0 lead. CMB added to its lead in the fifth when Lindeman singled and scored on a hit by Smith for a 3-0 lead. 

Ogden tried to rally in the  bottom of the seventh when Kayden Kruse received a free pass and Charlie Lake reached base on catcher’s interference. Kruse scored on a base hit. Wes Clausen and Lake scored on a sacrifice fly by Taylon Engleen.   Austin Flynn struck out to end the ball game. 

Ogden was led by Kruse with two hits. The Bulldogs ended the season with a 14-15 overall record. 

 

Ogden vs. Greene County

 

A balk allowed Wikens to score the winning run as the Bulldogs lost to Greene County in nine innings 4-3 Wednesday, July 5. The Bulldogs were held to just six hits with Jade Thompson getting three of them including a double.
