Caleb Frye is named April Student of the Month

Congratulations goes out to Ogden High School’s well-deserved April Student of the Month, Caleb Frye. Caleb is one of those young men who always brings a smile to everyone’s face just by walking past them. He is always happy, positive, and upbeat. His smile, attitude, and kind words change a dreary Monday into a happy Friday in an instant.

Throughout Caleb’s high school career, he not only focused on his academic abilities, he has put forth well over 110% effort in his love and passion for sports. This includes playing soccer since he was four years old (lettering all through high school), playing AAU basketball, OHS basketball, and breaking all kinds of records in high school football. It is a totally true statement to say that Caleb “all in all, just lives and breathes sports.”

Some of his sports highlights include: First Team INA All-State 2013; 2nd Team IowaPreps.com All-State 2013; First Team All-District 2013; Team Offensive MVP 2013; Team Captain 2012-13. He had a 16-8 record as a starting quarterback and more. He has been a participant and team leader in three playoff victories.

Caleb has worked hard for his achievements in sports. According to his mother, “He enjoys hanging out with friends and playing backyard football and street ball. He always has a ball in his hand.”

Caleb’s parents are Jamie Frye and Julie Frye. He has two siblings, Cassie Frye and Brandon Barkema. He definitely has a wonderful future ahead of him and OHS is very grateful to be a part of his past.

Currently, he is still deciding between attending Central and Simpson College.
