Bulldog teams sweep Perry

The Bulldogs overcame a slow start and a first quarter deficit then scored 28 second quarter points in a 70-26 win over Perry Thursday, Dec. 20.

“We were short handed and started off the game a little slow in the 1st quarter,” said Ogden Coach Dave Morris. “I am not sure if we weren’t mentally ready to play or just got caught a little off guard and didn’t make adjustments on the fly. We buckled down in the second quarter and started hammering inside and letting our defense create offense. Starting the second half we tried to push the lead by mimicking the second quarter and just played the fourth quarter out to gain some experience.

“We had a decent start to our season but we all agreed we have plenty of room for growth going into the second half of the year in a lot of different areas of our team.” He was looking forward to practices over break to start that process.
