Bulldog baseball defeats West Central Valley then falls to Boone
Ogden took advantage of every opportunity in a 4-1 win over the West Central Valley Wildcats. The Bulldogs only collected 5 hits and took advantage of all them.
West Central Valley started first as Norse collected a one-out single, stole second and scored on a ground out by Drew Taylor. The Bulldogs tied in the second when Carter Church singled and scored on a ground out by Charlie Lake. Ogden took the lead for good in the fifth with one out. Jade Thompson received a free pass. A fly ball by Kayden Kruse was misplayed by the left fielder allowing runners to be placed at second and third. A sacrifice bunt by Church allowed Thompson to score and moved Kruse to third. A single by Chad Mohr scored Kruse for a 3-1 Bulldog lead.
The Bulldogs added a run in the sixth when Jacob Hildreth singled and scored on a single by Jacob Craven for the 4-1 final.
Ogden was led by Mohr with two hits.
