Boys distance medley takes first

Although the Bulldogs had to shuffle their lineup a bit due to some last minutes scratches Tuesday at Jefferson, Coach Ryan Kobliska still saw that their hard work is leading to improvement. “Six of our seven relays were stronger than a week ago and we saw a lot of individual personal best performances,” he noted. He hopes to have a fuller lineup when his team heads to Panorama Tuesday, April 3.

The 1600 medley relay took first place for the second meet in a row, this time competing against North Polk, Greene County, Southeast Valley, St. Edmond and Paton-Churdan. Making up the team at Jefferson was Ethan Snedden, Dane Christner, Lucas Elsner and Jacob Hinman.

Ogden’s shuttle hurdle relay (Louis Higgins, Ben Heeren, Stephen Flynn and Griffin Diggs) ran 1:09.17 for a new school record.

“Our new assistant Coach Tracy Van Sickle is already making a big impact on our hurdle group,” said Kobliska. Ben Heeren and Louis Higgins placed third and fourth respectively in the 110 meter hurdles.
