Boys defeat Madrid but fall to Panorama

The boys’ basketball team collected both a win and a loss in their return from winter break.

Ogden started the week by traveling to Panorama’s gym where they came away with a close defeat, losing 70-65. This game was very close throughout, with Ogden only down 3 going into the fourth quarter. This was despite a tremendous 2nd quarter where Ogden scored 23 points, pushing them to a 31-29 point lead.

It’s disappointing that Ogden lost this game because it overshadows a tremendous game from Noah Snedden. The junior had 24 points on 11/18 shots, 3 rebounds, and a steal. He did foul out near the end of the game but it is only a blemish on a great game for him.

Elsewhere, Nathan Kennedy and Ben Hereen were once again great. While Kennedy didn’t have the best field goal percentage (5/14), he still contributed in many ways. He ended up with 14 points, 1 rebound, 5 steals, and 9 assists.
