Boys basketball drops two games

The Bulldogs boys were no match for Des Moines Christian last Tuesday.  The Lions have only three losses so far, and one was to Class 3A Newton in December.

The Bulldogs knew they were in for a battle when Des Moines Christian raced to a 20-6 first quarter lead. The Lions led by 14 at the half then cruised to a 72-34 win behind the shooting of Keaton Van Soelen who led all players with 17 points and 9 boards.

Bryce Snedden was the only Bulldog in double figures, sinking 5 of 14 field goals for 10 points.

Ogden’s record fell to 6-9 when Earlham defeated the Dogs 56-37 here Friday night. Snedden recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Graham Tews added 7 points and claimed 8 of Ogden’s 20 rebounds.

The Bulldogs hope to get on the winning track when they host Woodward-Granger Tuesday (after presstime). Friday night’s game is at West Central Valley.
