Another enterprising class project

The Ogden High School Manufacturing Program is building high quality picnic tables and will sell them to add income back into the program.

“The picnic tables are made out of treated 2 x 8 material and all pieces are bolted together, making these tables the strongest out there,” said industrial technology instructor Rick Hamilton.

“We have made picnic tables in the past and sold them but these tables are made out of treated lumber and they are fastened together with bolts, making them even stronger than any table we have built in the past.”

If you would like to purchase one of the picnic tables, contact Rick Hamilton at the high school. The picnic tables are selling for $180. Call to reserve one for yourself, 515-275-4034.

Hamilton’s students cut out and assembled over 60 Adirondack chairs in 2011 - many constructed from old gym bleachers.
