Acura HealthCare of Ogden celebrates Easter, thanks community for support during COVID-19 pandemic

Acura HealthCare of Ogden celebrated Easter with a drive-through Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday. Community members drove by on the east side of the facility, and staff members passed out paper bags decorated by residents and filled with candy and items for kids.

Residents enjoyed waving to the parents and kids who drove by.

Most Easters, the nursing home hosts an Easter egg hunt. That was not a possibil-ity this year with the facility on lockdown in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. But through it all, staff members want to help residents retain a sense of normalcy.

“At least they can see the kids. It’s just kind of hard for some of the residents to under-stand,” said activity director Rose Fowler.
