78th annual Kruse reunion held

The 78th annual Kruse reunion was held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at the Leonard Good Community Center with 29 attending. Hosts were the Eldon Kruse family.

Oldest member attending was Duane Townsend, 83, of Ogden. The youngest was Kolson Kruse, 11, son of Pat and Michelle Kruse of Ogden.
Traveling the farthest was Gary and Marva Jean Baldwin of Evergreen, CO. Minnesota was also represented by Bill Hinrichs, Ted and Shirley Hinrichs, guest Marion Finnegan and Marty and Vicky Kruse.

Births recorded were Leland Black, Ellie Wonderly, Riker Cartee, Jack Hinrichs, Nevaeh Hughes, Noah Sanchez, Leo Bouchard, Evin Burgess and Dane Ott.

Weddings listed were Toni Alecia and Troy Strother, Brittany Sonnabend and Tyler Miller, Jessica Valentine and Garrick Macek, Brooke Erickson and Christopher Black, Curtis Kruse and Korina Grizzard, Danielle Paulson and Dennis Wasson, Bethany Kruse and T.J. Porter, Hilary Stamp and Chad McKenna, Gerilyn Baldwin and Dennis Daley, Jeffrey Stamp and Erin Meyer.

Deaths recorded were Evelyn Kruse, 99; Lucille Turner, 88; and Kim Kruse, 55. Lois Kuhl of Boone and Vivian Paulson of Minnesota celebrated their 90th birthday this year.

Linda and Darrel Millard of Solon, Judy and Melvin Craven of Nevada and Richard and Lana Kruse of Ankeny all celebrated their 50th anniversaries. Duane and Aleta Townsend celebrated their 60th anniversary. Brendan Banderman and Lance Jones are both serving in the Marines.

The 79th annual Kruse reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015. Hosts will be the Harry Kruse family.
