100 bell chimes

Truly joyous sounds . . . 100 steeple bell chimes . . . will be ringing out to the community of Ogden Sunday morning, Oct. 19 as members and guests of Immanuel Lutheran gather to observe and celebrate the church’s organization 100 years ago in the year 1914. 

The 10:30 a.m. worship service will be led by Pastor Christine Cowan with the Reverend Michael Burk, Bishop of the SE Iowa Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America delivering the sermon. Several former pastors will be in attendance as well as extended family and friends of the congregation from outside the Ogden area.

The celebration will continue with a dinner and program at the Leonard Good Community Center as participants remember the past, rejoice in the present and embrace the future second century. A joyous sound for Immanuel!
