“The Boxholm News” newspaper now on microfilm at the Ogden library
The only existing collection of the newspaper published at Boxholm from 1914 to 1934 has recently been microfilmed for the first time and is now available to the public for viewing at the Leonard A. Good Community Library.
Although not a complete collection, these approximately 1,200 pages (representing about one third of the total 950 editions) were all there was to work with.
The originals are kept in the Boxholm Museum owned by Dave Peterson. Says Peterson, “I spent about 40 years accumulating them and if anything would happen to them, they’d be gone forever. When the Leonard A. Good Library at Ogden volunteered to pay for the microfilming, I thought, now is the time.”
